This Year's Purrpose
In 1991, our adoption kennels were built for a very different era of animal welfare. Since then, Salt Lake County Animal Services has transformed into the largest no-kill municipal shelter in Utah, helping thousands of animals each year find safety, healing, and loving homes.
While our mission has evolved, our kennels have not.
For more than 30 years, these same spaces have welcomed animals whose stories pull at our heartstrings. This year, The Furever Gala is dedicated to renovating and modernizing our adoption kennels to create a more comforting, enriching, and welcoming environment for the animals and families we serve.
Our goal is to raise $135,000 to renovate the first row of adoption kennels, with an additional $122,000 helping us transform the second row. Together, we can create spaces that reflect the compassion, hope, and second chances every animal deserves.
