About the BBC

The Birmingham Boys Choir is a non-profit, civic organization built to allow talented boys in the greater Birmingham area the opportunity to develop their gifts in an area of concentrated musical study. Incorporated in 1973, the BBC currently serves 140 choristers, ages 8-18. These young men receive musical training in performance, vocal technique, and music theory as well as personal training through rehearsal, practice and performance of literature and BBC life lessons. These benefits help them succeed and prepare them as future leaders in our community.
