Operation School Bell ® is our signature philanthropic program that provides new school clothing and/or necessities for students. For some students, this may be the first new coat or clothing they can call their own, bringing smiles to many faces.Elementary School Clothing Distribution Members and Community Volunteers set up a “store,” in designated schools on scheduled days, helping children choose a new warm coat, hat, gloves, tops, (uniforms for specified public schools), underwear, socks, hygiene kit, book and duffle bag. We serve six schools within our tri-county area. Our chapter also collaborates with local nonprofit agencies to provide clothing and/or necessities for children through Blast Off 2 School. This year, collaborating with Neighborhood House, 375 Blast Off-2- School students received two “After the Bell” clothing distributions to other facilities help fulfill the needs of additional children.

We supply new mothers with Wee Help Kits and Safe Sleep Packages. Our Wee Help Kits provides layette kits of over 20 items for babies first weeks, along with a Safe Sleep package of a new portable crib, sheet, and wearable blanket. The kit contains a new receiving blanket, clothing, diapers, bottle, pacifier, bib, wipes, baby book, knitted hat, a developmental wheel and a postpartum depression assessment tool. 26 car seats were also distributed to ensure proper transportation safety.

Our Assault Survivor Kit® program provides personal kits for children and adult survivors of abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence whose clothing was destroyed by the perpetrator or retained by police for evidence.  The kit contains a new top, pants, underwear, socks/flip-flops, toiletries, fidgets and stuffed animal for children.  This year 1720 survivors receiving kits including 314 children's kits.
