The Community Foundation will welcome 700 of the region’s business, philanthropic, public, civic, and community leaders to this signature, black-tie event that serves as a celebration of the power of local philanthropy to help build a community that works for everyone.

A pillar of the Gala celebration each year is the Community Leadership Award, presented annually for outstanding community service and dedication to improving the quality of life for all Northern Virginians. This year’s award will be presented to Kristina Bouweiri, President & CEO of Reston Limousine, the largest luxury transportation provider in the Washington DC area. With over 230 vehicles and 335 employees, her innovative strategies drive growth. Committed to philanthropy, she has facilitated more than $1.5 million in donated transportation to charities. As a board member of influential organizations like Enterprising Woman Magazine, she empowers women entrepreneurs. Her global perspective, born from living in Japan, Brazil, and other countries, enriches her leadership. A graduate of George Washington University, she speaks multiple languages and champions education and children’s welfare initiatives. Kristina's legacy embodies entrepreneurial success, philanthropy, and community leadership.

Tickets are $350 and sponsorships start at $1,000 and include visibility throughout the year and during the event.

Kristina Bouweiri, 2024 Honoree

A pillar of the Gala celebration each year is the Community Leadership Award, presented annually for outstanding community service and dedication to improving the quality of life for all Northern Virginians.  This year’s award will be presented to Kristina Bouweiri.

Kristina Bouweiri, a seasoned entrepreneur, serving as the president, CEO, and sole owner of Reston Limousine and Travel Service Inc. (aka Reston Limousine). Her leadership has transformed the company into one of the largest luxury transportation providers in the Washington DC metropolitan area, boasting a fleet of 230 vehicles and employing 335 people. Founded in 1990, Reston Limousine offers transportation services across Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C., as well as globally through an extensive affiliate network.

Throughout her tenure, Kristina has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to philanthropy, facilitating over $1.5 million in donated transportation to charities such as Make a Wish Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes, and Wounded Warriors. Her dedication extends beyond charitable endeavors to influential board memberships, including Enterprising Woman Magazine, 100 Women Strong, and the Northern Virginia Community College Foundation. Her leadership has garnered prestigious recognitions, including the Heroine of Washington and the Washington Business Journal Power 100.

An advocate for women entrepreneurs, Kristina founded Sterling Women and co-founded the Virginia Women’s Business Conference, empowering countless women to achieve professional success. She is a sought-after international speaker, sharing insights on business strategy and social media utilization. Under her stewardship, Reston Limousine has been certified as a woman-owned business and has been a multi-year winner of the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization’s Done Deals Challenges.

Kristina's diverse background enriches her leadership approach. Born in Japan and having lived in Brazil, Portugal, Mozambique, South Africa, and Botswana as a child, she brings a global perspective to her role. A graduate of George Washington University with a degree in International Affairs, Kristina speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and French fluently. Beyond her professional achievements, she is an avid tennis player and a devoted mother of four.

Despite her extensive accomplishments, Kristina remains deeply committed to community engagement. She serves on the boards of influential organizations such as Enterprising Woman Magazine, the Loudoun Education Foundation, and the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce. Her passion for education and children’s welfare is evident in her support for initiatives benefiting health, education, and children’s welfare.

Kristina Bouweiri's legacy extends far beyond the confines of her business. Her entrepreneurial spirit, philanthropic endeavors, and dedication to empowering women entrepreneurs serve as a testament to her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in her community and beyond.
