About Thinkfirst Nevada
About ThinkFirst Nevada
Since 2011, ThinkFirst Nevada has been changing lives—teaching kids and teens about brain and spine injury prevention and providing free helmets and helmet fittings to anyone who needs one.
Each year, with fewer than a handful of quarter-time staff, ThinkFirst reaches over 3,000 students in classrooms, engages 1,000+ community members through local events, and fits nearly 1,000 new helmets on heads.
Our program is grounded in real stories from young people in Northern Nevada, showing students that these injuries can and do happen locally, to people just like them, during everyday activities. By learning about risks and making safer choices, most of these injuries are preventable. Early education is especially critical for the age groups at highest risk—and we believe every person is special and deserves protection.
By supporting this year’s event, you are helping ThinkFirst Northern Nevada continue its mission: educating every high school student in the region and providing free helmets to anyone who needs one.
