Women Helping Women has been providing critical funding for the Women’s Clinic at Hancock Health for over 25 years. The Women’s Clinic provides basic health services for low income/uninsured women, including mammograms, ultrasounds and biopsies, as well as education and support services. The annual Women Helping Women Celebration is the primary funding source for the women's clinic, which serves hundreds of local at-risk women every year. Whether your a donor, sponsor, attendee or volunteer, your participation in Women Helping Women will allow even more local women to receive these truly life-saving services!  

Mammography is the foundation of breast imaging and the most effective tool for the early detection of breast cancer when it is most treatable and has the highest survival rates. The current mammography system at Hancock Regional Hospital, originally installed in 2009, has been diligently maintained and upgraded each year to meet evolving technology and quality standards; however, it is now approaching the end of its supported service life.

Donations to this year’s Fund A Need will allow us to invest in a new mammography system for the James T. Anderson, M.D. Center for Women’s Health to ensure we continue providing the highest standard of breast care and sustain our ability to serve more women with timely, life-saving breast cancer screening and diagnosis.
