Verge Center for the Arts is proud to present our annual Art Auction, a fundraising event that provides art lovers & local collectors an opportunity to acquire original works of fine art, while supporting a non-profit organization and community of artists. The Art Auction will commence with an opening reception showcasing biddable artworks on Thursday, November 6th from 5-8PM. Attendees at the event will have the first look at items available in the auction, and can enjoy snacks and beverages as they plan their bidding strategies. Then the big event will happen Saturday, November 15th from 5-8pm where there will be silent and live auction items ready to go home with the highest bidder, plus catered bites and craft beverages, live DJ and an all-around incredible evening!

As always, our auction will be a testament to the vitality and strength of the arts in our region. By supporting the Verge Art Auction, you are playing a key role in helping Verge shape the landscape of the Sacramento arts scene. Through exhibitions, public programs, and events, Verge supports engagement and connection for all members of our creative community. 

The Verge Art Auction is one of our most crucial sources of funding for all of our programs each year, and we are counting on remarkable, generous supporters like you to help us continue presenting the high quality, arts-focused programming our region needs. 

Featured artists will be announced shortly, and will include those who have participated in the Verge Studio Project, Regional Residency Program, and/or Sac Open Studios; shown work in our past exhibitions; taught a class or workshop; or contributed to the vibrancy of the Verge community in other ways. We extend our gratitude to the many artists who have supported us over the years and can’t wait to announce our 2025 contributors!

Who can bid on auction items? 

Anyone! No tickets are required to set up an auction bidder profile through ClickBid, and registering as a bidder is fast and free. All you need is a valid credit card + a few contact details to get started. Your card will not be charged until you are the winning bidder on an item or if you choose to make a donation to Verge to help us reach our auction fundraising goal.

Where will my auction dollars go? 

Dollars raised at Verge Art Auction go right back into the Sacramento arts community. Up to 50% of each art sale will go directly back to the working artists in our region. Your dollars will also directly support Verge as we continue bringing the Sacramento region high quality arts programming in everything from our exhibitions to our youth education offerings. How much does it cost to attend the Verge Art Auction?

What is the full auction itinerary? 

The auction preview reception opens Thursday, November 6th as does online pre-bidding for the silent auction. Pre-bidding closes Friday, November 14th at 4pm.
