Azere’s music blends early 1930’s blues, jazz, Black Americana country, speaking volumes of truth through her lens as a mixed race Black woman. Standing in the light of her elders- Ma Rainey, Vera Hall, Memphis Minnie, and Nina Simone, her original tunes are timeless, present day her story written in collaboration with her ancestors.
