Special Guest Emcee Samantha Jacques
Chief Meteorologist Samantha Jacques has been a trusted presence in West Michigan for 4.5 years. She began her journey at 13 On Your Side as the weekend morning meteorologist and quickly transitioned to the weekday morning role, showcasing her expertise and dedication.
Since joining WZZM, Samantha has swiftly made her mark, earning three Michigan Emmy® Awards (2021, 2022, and 2023) for her groundbreaking winter weather specials. In 2021, she also received the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award for "Best Weathercast" and achieved her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation, AMS #915. On December 1, 2024, Samantha was named Chief Meteorologist, leading the weather department at 13 On Your Side.
Her passion for science and commitment to STEM education drives her work. Samantha uses her platform to inspire children, especially young girls, to explore careers in STEM and develop a love for our environment.
In her free time, Samantha enjoys spending time with her loving husband, being with family and friends, and playing with her energetic dogs, Leo and Willow. She doesn't let a day go by without reminding herself and others to Be Today's Sunshine.
