MEET OUR INAUGURAL LANTERN AWARD RECIPIENT, JON PERIS
The Trail Blazers LANTERN Award recognizes Leaders, Advocates, and Nurturers for Transformative Experiences Rooted in Nature. We are proud to honor Jon Peris and his long-standing commitment to our mission of teaching life essential skills and values through summer camps and year-round programs with the Inaugural LANTERN Award at this year's Spring Benefit. Currently, he is a Director of Investments with Stifel Financial, where he leverages his 30 years of capital markets and wealth management experience helping his clients achieve their personal and professional goals. An advocate of making time for personal fitness and fulfillment, Jon enjoys spending time with family and friends, coaching his children’s sport teams, seeing live music, travelling, getting outside in nature, and the personal rewards of giving back. Jon lives in New Jersey with his wife, Sari, and their three children.

ABOUT TRAIL BLAZERS
Since our inception in 1887 as Life’s Fresh Air Camp, Trail Blazers has been where young people go outside to grow within. Today, our nature-based summer camp, after school, and leadership/workforce development programs engage 1200 young people each year in New York and New Jersey, guiding them in building essential knowledge, values, and life skills that equip them to thrive and to care for our environment.
We believe that young people deserve access to nature and to programs where they can learn, grow, and thrive, regardless of their family’s financial ability. Through the Trail Blazers Scholarship Fund, we can fulfill this commitment. Currently, 87% of participants receive financial aid and your support helps ensure that they can access programs that equip them to thrive.
