Shizzy's Wildcat Rescue is dedicated to providing a safe and loving forever home to neglected, abused and unwanted wild animals. 

Creating a wild animal sanctuary from scratch is no easy task but thanks to the generosity of our incredible supporters, our team has accomplished a tremendous amount including purchasing 56 acres in North Carolina, extensive ground clearing & elevation, installing hundreds of feet of fence, clearing out & repairing buildings (including the recent installation of a new roof on our main 10,000 square foot building!), completing two EPA site assessments, constructing seven initial animal habitats AND acquiring necessary, top of the line medical equipment to outfit our onsite veterinary hospital!

With your help, wild animals in need will be welcomed to their forever home at Shizzy’s Wildcat Rescue in 2025.

BUT, there is still more to do before animals in need can call SWR “home”! To complete Phase One of our Sanctuary Plan, we must install holding pens with guillotine doors, install water lines and electricity, build barrier fences around enclosures for visitor safety, finalize perimeter fencing, and landscape in & around animal enclosures to provide them privacy and enrichment.  We are so close to being able to help them!
