Who is AIS?

About Ability Inclusion Services

For over 65 years, Ability Inclusion Services has been enriching the lives of people with disabilities by actively providing community opportunities for independence and individual growth.  The Center’s foundation was laid in 1958 by a group of parents and talented individuals who saw the importance of educational and social opportunities for children with disabilities.  The focus then, as now, was on the opportunities to address all aspects of life.  When public schools were mandated in 1975 for all children, our services shifted to serving adults with disabilities.  Throughout the 80’s and 90's services grew to support a wider variety of needs.   Residential Services were started to address the needs of individuals that needed support to live on their own. Expanded day services were opened in the early 90’s so participants could have community and sensory experiences.  Transportation was then introduced in the 2000’s and since expanded to a fleet of a dozen accessible vehicles to meet the diverse needs of the population we serve.  Today our organization is one of Utah’s most vibrant disability communities, providing an invaluable resource for participants and their families.

FUNDRAISING FOR AIS PROGRAMING

Proceeds from this event support Ability Inclusion Services and the programs that make daily connection, growth, and independence possible for the individuals we serve. Your participation helps sustain our Community Day Program and Residential Services, while also supporting the launch of our newest initiative, the Mobile Day Program, which brings services directly into the community for a more flexible, real-world experience. Together, these programs create opportunities for meaningful engagement, skill development, and a stronger sense of belonging.
