Terms and Conditions for the Inspiring Hope Silent Auction
Organizer: This silent auction is hosted by South Okanagan Women in Need Society (SOWINS) as part of our fundraising event, Inspiring Hope.
Eligibility: By participating in this auction, you confirm that you are of legal gambling age (19 years or older) in British Columbia, Canada.
Auction Items: All items are sold "as is" and are subject to availability. Please review all descriptions carefully before bidding.
Payment: By placing a bid, you agree to pay for any items you win. Payment must be completed by 12 PM PST on November 4, 2024. Any items not paid for or checked out by this deadline will be automatically processed by 12 PM PST on November 5, 2024.
Tax Receipts: As per CRA charity rules, tax receipts cannot be issued for the purchase of auction items, as these transactions are considered sales rather than donations. However, tax receipts may be issued for direct donations made during the event (such as contributions to "Fund a Need") if no material benefit is received in return.
Bidding: Bids may be placed via the ClickBid platform until the auction closes. The highest bid at the close of the auction will be deemed the winner.
Liability: SOWINS is not responsible for any errors in auction items or descriptions. Please participate with the understanding that it is at your own risk.
Changes to Terms: SOWINS reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
