At Shepherd of the Hills, we are a Christ-centered, family-focused learning community dedicated to serving children from infancy through Grade 8.
We offer a solid, faith-based, fully accredited educational program, complemented by a state-licensed Early Childhood Center.
Our educators are committed to developing the whole child within a positive learning environment, providing nationally accredited core subjects along with a wide range of enrichment, extracurricular, fine arts, music, and athletic programs. About the Event
We’re excited to invite you to our annual gala on Friday, April 17th. This special evening brings our community together to celebrate our students and support the important work of nurturing faith and pursuing excellence happening every day at Shepherd of the Hills. Your participation in this event directly advances our mission to work as a community of parents, teachers, and students, to foster Christ Like qualities in all we pursue!
Join us from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm (doors open at 5:30 pm) for "Havana Nights". This years gala's exciting program includes world class dining experience catered by Chef Kaius Austin-Bey, music, a silent auction, games, class baskets and live auctions!

1. What is the purpose of the Shepherd of the Hills Auction for Education Gala? The Auction for Education Gala is an annual fundraising event where families, friends, and supporters of Shepherd of the Hills come together for an evening of fun, fellowship, great food, and live and silent auctions. All proceeds from the event go directly to supporting the educational programs at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran School and child care.
2. When and where is the gala taking place? The gala will be held on Friday, April 17 at the SHLS Family Life Center Gym, located at 6914 Wurzbach Rd. Doors will open at 5:30.
3. How do I purchase tickets for the gala? Tickets can be purchased through our event website or use this Ticket Link. Be sure to purchase your tickets by Friday, April 4 to reserve your spot!
4. Can I purchase tickets at the door? We encourage all attendees to purchase tickets in advance. However, if available, tickets may be purchased at the door. To ensure you don't miss out, we recommend purchasing your tickets early.
5. What should I wear to the gala? This is a semi-formal event, and guests are encouraged to dress in blue, gold, or black. Feel free to come dressed to impress!
6. What types of auction items will be available? The gala will feature a variety of live and silent auction items, including vacation getaways, gift baskets, experiences, art, dining experiences, and more. You can view a preview of the auction items on our website.
7. How do I bid in the silent and live auctions? Bidding will be done through a silent auction system or live auction, depending on the item. You can place your bids at designated areas during the event or participate in the live auction by raising your paddle when prompted by the auctioneer.
8. Can I donate items for the auction? Yes! We are still accepting auction donations. If you have an item or experience to donate, please email auction@shlutheran.org Your donation is greatly appreciated and will help us raise funds for our school.
9. Will there be food and drinks at the gala? Yes! The evening will feature delicious food and beverages by Chef Kaius Austin-Bey. Dinner will include a small bites and a buffet of chicken, pot roast, or salmon. There will also be an open bar for those who wish to enjoy an adult beverage. Tea and water will also be available.
10. How can I make a donation if I cannot attend the gala? If you are unable to attend the gala but still want to support our school, you can make a donation online at Donation Link or contact us for more details.
11. How will the funds raised be used? All funds raised at the gala will go directly to supporting the educational programs, resources, and needs of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran School. This includes playground and field enhancements, supporting scholarships, classroom supplies, extracurricular activities, and more.
