Artist Mary Jo Milbrandt uses watercolor to share scenes and landscapes from her home in the Scandia countryside. This item includes a beautiful watercolor painting that is 12 inches tall; two artist cards with Scandia scenes; and a painted gift bag for a bottle of wine. 

Mary Jo's home and gallery — Countryside Arts — are included in the Scandia Historic Homes Tour on October 12. 

Mary Jo has an undaunted approach to her subject matter, and is ready to experiment fearlessly. Woodland flowers, strutting roosters, peaceful landscapes, and bold florals have all found their way onto her sketch pad. She is challenged to paint what goes beyond the camera lens. Mary Jo has studied with local and national watercolor instructors. For her, art is a journey filled with the passion for creating images that come from the heart and soul onto the waiting paper.

Mary Jo has spent many years sharing her enthusiasm for the arts with people of all ages. She is also a member of the North Star Watercolor Society, Minnesota Watercolor Society, and the White Bear Lake Center for the Arts.
