Fancy Extras for Antony and Cleopatra background

Help Dress Free Shakespeare...

...and own a piece of Shakespeare Festival history!

This summer's Free Shakespeare in the Park is unlike anything we've done before—and we'd love your help making it memorable.

For the first time in our history, we're producing Antony and Cleopatra. To make this landmark debut dazzling, our design team is creating a world inspired by the glamour, elegance, and opulence of the 1920s. To capture that distinctive style, we're seeking support to acquire special costume and prop pieces and props fit for royalty.

Help us bring Antony and Cleopatra to life in spectacular fashion, and when the season concludes, you'll own genuine production pieces used in this Shakespeare Festival first!

1. Click the "Bid and Buy" link above to register and get started.

2. Bid on items that we'll use in the 2026 Free Shakespeare in the Park production of Antony and Cleopatra (~25 performances plus dress rehearsals between July 8 and late September).

3. Our campaign closes on July 1, 2026 at 5:00pm pacific time. When the campaign closes, you'll be notified of your winning bids, what you won, and be able to pay and check-out instantly.

4. In early October, after the show closes, you'll be able to pick up the item(s) you helped us acquire from our shop and office at 1560 Davidson Ave., San Francisco.

For some items, there are multiple copies available and needed: these are listed as "Buy Now" items. When you select a "Buy Now" item, you're guaranteed to receive it at the end of the summer.

Other items are singular: these are listed as "Place Bid" items. Place your maximum bid and the winner will receive the item at the end of the summer.

This is a great way to add some unique items to your own wardrobe or household. Only a select few will be able to say, "Not only did I help the Festival, but now I have this unique and rare item that was used in a live Shakespeare play in front of thousands of people!"

All proceeds from this campaign support our mission to make the words and themes of Shakespeare accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, financial status, or level of education. Your contributions ensure the continuation of arts and education programs like Free Shakespeare in the Park, Shakespeare’s Heartbeat, Shakespeare On Tour, and Bay Area Shakespeare Camps.

If you believe in the power of the performing arts to transform lives, then join us and celebrate the enduring artistry of Shakespeare!
