ARTS EDUCATION AWARDS PRESENTATION

Once again, we are excited to honor three individuals who exemplify arts education in the greater Richmond community with the following awards:

• The SUPPORT AWARD, will be given to a teaching artist who models high-quality arts integration in their residencies, in SUPPORT of classroom teachers. 
• The NURTURE AWARD, will be given to a performing arts educator who NURTURES the artists of tomorrow through exemplary arts instruction in the K-12 classroom. 
• The THRIVE AWARD, will be given to a leader in arts education who creates spaces in the community for the arts to THRIVE.

Students, educators, and community members have equitable access to high-quality arts education and learning opportunities. HEADLINER

JTucker & The Krewe bring a 10-piece powerhouse energy that transforms parties into legendary celebrations. Their masterful fusion of funk, pop, R&B, and jazz delivers more than just a performance—they create moments. Three dynamic vocalists, backed by a tight horn and rhythm section, deliver seamless transitions from Stevie Wonder to Bruno Mars, along with explosive Motown medleys guaranteed to keep the dance floor packed.

PRE-PERFORMANCE ENTERTAINMENT

ART CLUB

Studio Two Three is a nonprofit community arts space that supports art making for personal and social change. S23 offers classes and workshops, artists residences, studio space and community events. The studio provides 24/7 access to community print shops and communal workspace to 170 members.

GLEE CLUB 

SPARC Touring Ensemble is an audition-based company of talented high school performers from all over the Richmond area. They showcase their talents year-round at a variety of events held in the community. Ensemble members participate in weekly rehearsals consisting of training in theatre, music, and dance.

DRAMA CLUB 

The mission of the Coalition Theater is to build an inclusive space where laughter connects people. Through shows, classes, workshops and community partnerships, the Coalition Theater helps people find their comedic voice, and gives them a safe and welcoming place to share it. 

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB

Ashby Logan Hill is a poet, writer, artist, and educator from Harrisonburg, VA currently living in Richmond. Hill holds an MFA in Poetry from UMASS Amherst and received a B.A. in English with Creative Writing and Art Minors from James Madison University. As Poems for People Virginia, Logan performs personalized, typewritten poetry on demand across Virginia and has recently typed poems at Rooster Walk, Red Wing Roots, Floyd Fest, Front Porch Fest, and Farm Aid this year.

Michelle Livigne is a four time voted Best Drag Entertainer in Richmond, VA. With over 18 years of experience and capturing many titles, she is the hostest with the mostest!! Michele hosts numerous events across the city including Bingos, Brunches & Dinner Shows. They also are the creator of the award winning Driveway Drag Show, featured twice on CBS6 news.  Known as the "Edgy One" she's loud, bold and never runs out of energy. No party or event is complete without this diva!
