Celebrating Fr. Elmer

Our Reverse Raffle holds special meaning as we gather not only in support of St. Catherine of Siena Academy, but also in celebration of one of our beloved founders, Fr. Elmer. This event takes place around his birthday—this year, he would have been 98—and serves as a beautiful reminder of the legacy he left behind.

Fr. Elmer was instrumental in bringing St. Catherine of Siena Academy to life, spearheading the vision for a faithful, all-girls Catholic school in Wixom. As our first principal and chaplain, he guided SCA with deep faith, joyful spirit, and a genuine love for each student. He believed wholeheartedly in the importance of Catholic education and in providing young women the same opportunities for formation, growth, and excellence.

Known for his warmth, humor, and ever-present smile, Fr. Elmer had a remarkable way of making every person feel seen and valued. Whether remembered through his love of chocolate chip cookies, his signature Crocs, or the lasting traditions he helped establish, Fr. Elmer’s legacy lives on in the hearts of our community.
