JOIN US IN MAKING A DIFFERENCE
You’re invited to support the first-ever Poling for Parkinson’s — a new event created to help people living with Parkinson’s get the most out of their activator poles. This day brings everyone together for hands-on learning, vendor support, trainings, and workshops that build strength, safety, and connection.
All funds raised go straight into certification training for instructors who will teach poling classes in our community. Your support gives families real tools, real hope, and a place where they feel cared for.
You’ll find full event details and sponsor benefits in this packet, but here’s what matters most: your gift makes a meaningful difference.
Thank you for helping bring encouragement and support to so many. Let’s make something good happen together.
WHERE YOUR SUPPORT GOES
Your sponsorship directly funds:
✔ Support Activator Pole Trainer Certifications
Through Dr. Joy Cochran, a physical therapist who teaches and promotes certified Activator Pole courses, this event helps bring more trained instructors into our community.
✔ Personal Impact and Hands-on Learning
Participants get simple, helpful instruction, real techniques they can use right away, and kind guidance from trained professionals. These poles do more than help with movement — they help people feel safer, more steady, and more confident.
✔ Vendor Village
Guests can meet local providers and learn about helpful support services.
✔ Lunch and Social
Cold sandwich wraps will be offered, with a gluten-free option included.
✔ Giveaway Tote Bags
Each guest receives a tote filled with helpful resources and small items from supporting partners.
✔ Community Support
Any extra funds go right back into local Parkinson’s efforts, the Wisconsin Parkinson Association, and sponsored training courses for people or groups who want to become certified Activator Pole instructors.
A HEARTFELT THANK YOU FROM THE COMMITTEE
Thank you for being part of this effort and helping bring Poling for Parkinson’s to life. Your kindness, your support, and your belief in this event mean more than you know. Because of you, people living with Parkinson’s will have access to safe movement, helpful instruction, and a community that cares. This work only happens when good people step up. You did that, and we are grateful.
With appreciation,

Wisconsin Parkinson Association was founded in 1984 as an avenue to provide support for patients who received the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. As a community resource, WPA has grown as the needs of the Parkinson community has grown. As a 501c3 organization, WPA is an independent nonprofit that is not affiliated with a national organization, so money donated to WPA stays local to support the people who need help.
Mission: Providing hope, community, support, and resources for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.
