Since 1991, the Save a Smile (SAS) program has been supporting BC children in need of urgent dental care. SAS is a community-based direct care program that works in partnership with dental public health staff across BC to assist children from low-income families.  In addition to providing urgent treatment through private practice dentists, dental public health staff also provide parent education to prevent dental problems from recurring.
