For 25 years, the Orin Reid Memorial Golf Tournament has been driving change in the most meaningful way — by turning generosity into real impact. What began as a tribute to a man who believed true success is measured not only by what we build, but by how we give back to the communities we build in, has grown into a deeply rooted tradition of compassion, community, and purpose.

The impact of this tournament reaches far beyond the fairways. It lives in the smiles of children whose wishes were granted during their hardest moments. It lives in hospital spaces that now offer greater care, comfort, and dignity. It lives in families who have felt hope and support when they needed it most. With more than $1.6 million raised over 25 years, this legacy is not defined by dollars alone, but by lives touched, memories created, and hope restored.

To our sponsors, trades, partners, suppliers, consultants, volunteers, and golfers — thank you. Your generosity, your time, and your unwavering support have driven this tournament forward year after year. Many of you return not just for the game, but for the meaning behind it, and that speaks volumes about the heart of this community.

What makes this day so extraordinary is the unity behind it. An entire industry comes together, setting aside competition to stand behind one shared purpose: making a difference. Year after year, you show up with open hearts and generous spirits, and because of you, this legacy of change continues to grow.

So , to those who have joined us at any point over the past 25 years, thank you. And to those joining us for the first time, welcome to the family — you are now part of 25 years of driving change through compassion, generosity, and giving back.

Because of you, the impact of this tournament is stronger, more heartfelt, and more meaningful today than ever before.

Last Years Donations

We were proud to donate to the below causes with the monies raised through our 2024 tournament keeping true to our promise to give back to the communities in which we build.

$50,000 donated to Make a Wish Foundation

We were able to make 5 wishes come true from the proceeds of last years event.

Parker's Story:

Meet Parker, a courageous young survivor who captured our hearts last year. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor, Parker faced an unimaginable journey—enduring 70 rounds of chemotherapy with incredible strength and resilience. Through the support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and events like the Orin Reid Memorial Golf Tournament, Parker's wish was granted, bringing joy and light during a time of great challenge. His story is a powerful reminder of why we come together—to bring hope, healing, and unforgettable moments to children who need them most.

$50,000 Guelph General Hospital with monies directly going to mental health improvement:

The Gifts will be directed toward Guelph General Hospital in support of mental health and addictions services as outlined in the Together, We Care campaign case statement.

Each year the Emergency Department at Guelph General Hospital sees nearly 20,000 more patients than it was designed for. There is little privacy for all patients, and a lack of specialized spaces for patients struggling with mental health or addiction concerns. While our emergency wait times remain amongst the province’s best, they are getting longer every year.

With your help, we are expanding our Emergency Department to shorten wait times and support patient comfort, safety and dignity, create dedicated spaces for mental health and addictions care and ensure caregivers have the best possible equipment.

  • Expanded square footage by 60% increasing capacity to reduce wait times and enhance patient privacy and care.
  • Relocated mental health and addictions care services with 50% increase in capacity in short-stay unit for patients with these concerns.
  • Co-ordinated and timely mental healthcare with co-location of community services, with the aim of reducing and preventing readmissions while ensuring the dignity of all patients.
