Their support reflects not only philanthropy, but a genuine passion for strengthening the fabric of our city and creating opportunities for those in need.

Their leadership has helped expand our impact across San Antonio, inspiring others to give and fostering a spirit of collaboration and care. Cecilia and Frank embody what it means to invest in community, showing up time and again to make a meaningful difference.

We are proud to honor them at this year’s luncheon in recognition of their lasting contributions and the positive impact they continue to make throughout San Antonio. Their legacy of generosity and commitment will benefit our community for years to come.

Dr. Lisa Hollier is a Past President of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. During her term, she focused on prevention of deaths related to pregnancy. This included updates to ACOG’s guidance on cardiovascular conditions during pregnancy/postpartum and advocacy to promote maternal mortality review across the country in an effort to develop prevention recommendations.

She received her Doctorate in Medicine and Master of Public Health from Tulane University.  She completed a residency in Ob/Gyn at Baylor University Medical Center and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at UT Southwestern, both in Dallas. Dr. Hollier has broad experience in public health and health care. Spanning her 25 year career in academic medicine, she served as a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at both UT Houston and Baylor College of Medicine and focused on enhancing the care of women with complicated pregnancies. In addition, she chaired the Texas Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee for 9 years and served as the Chief Medical Officer for a large Medicaid Managed Care Organization in Texas. Dr. Hollier remains clinically active seeing obstetric patients in a large federally qualified health center in Southwest Houston.

Dr. Hollier will participate in a moderated discussion with Jamie Kowalski, a respected member of the community and dedicated mother, bringing thoughtful perspective and meaningful dialogue to the conversation.

This year, all proceeds will directly benefit the Maternal Fetal Medicine Program.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) provides specialized, life‑saving care for mothers and babies when a pregnancy requires extra attention. As a subspecialty of obstetrics, MFM focuses on managing high‑risk or complex pregnancies, offering advanced expertise to support both mother and child before, during, and after birth.  MFM physicians are highly trained OB/GYNs who partner closely with a patient’s care team to monitor health, diagnose concerns early, and guide families with clarity and compassion throughout their journey. 

Through advanced imaging, diagnostic testing, and genetic counseling, MFM programs help identify and address potential complications such as maternal health conditions, fetal growth concerns, or multiple pregnancies.  These services ensure that both mother and baby receive the highest level of coordinated care, including access to neonatal specialists and intensive care if needed.  For families facing uncertainty, MFM delivers not only cutting‑edge medicine, but also reassurance—helping improve outcomes, reduce risks, and give every child the strongest possible start in life.
