Driven by a deep-rooted passion to make a difference, this remarkable organization, now in its 22nd year, has donated millions to the fight against breast cancer.

At the heart of the Nancy Owens Breast Cancer Foundation lies an unwavering dedication to the cause. Inspired by Nancy Owens, a breast cancer survivor herself, the Foundation was established with a clear mission in mind: to fund vital research initiatives and raise awareness of breast cancer. Their tireless efforts served as a testament to the power of compassion and unity.

What truly sets the Nancy Owens Breast Cancer Foundation apart is their unique approach—being truly volunteer-driven. Every aspect of their operation, from organizing fundraising events to managing administrative tasks, is carried out by a passionate and dedicated team of volunteers. Their selflessness and commitment are the foundation's lifeblood, driving its success and ensuring that every dollar donated goes directly towards cancer research.

Earlier this year, the Foundation held its Fashion for the Cure Event, VIVA MAGENTA, at Tootsies. The event was a huge success raising over $37,000 for breast cancer research. 

Looking forward, the Foundation is preparing for an unforgettable experience as laughter and inspiration converge at the annual Luncheon and Auction, featuring the renowned comedian Tig Notaro as our special guest speaker.

Scheduled to take place on October 2, 2023 at the Hilton Americas, the Nancy Owens Breast Cancer Foundation Luncheon and Auction aims to rally the community around a cause that touches countless lives. It is an opportunity for individuals to come together, honor survivors, remember those lost, and support ongoing efforts to combat breast cancer. Funds raised during the event will stay right here in Houston and will be channeled towards crucial research and treatment advancements. Donations from previous events have been given to Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine, The Department of Nano Technology at Methodist and M. D. Anderson.
