How does scoring work?
All players will receive a scoring sheet. Scoring is tracked at the end of each game and each round. Points are given based on the value of the hand won, with points added/subtracted based on certain variables that will be noted on the scoring sheet. East will sign off on everyone’s scores before you throw in your tiles to shuffle.
What is involved for each round?
Each round is 60-minutes during which every table will play four games. Walls will be built before the timer starts for the first game only of each round. Washing/shuffling, dealing, play and wall building for games 2-4 are all part of the timed round.
Either one or two Charleston rounds is/are allowed. All players at the table must agree to a second Charleston. If one player indicates they would not like to have a second Charleston, a second Charleston will not happen. A Courtesy Charleston is optional, and both players must agree to the courtesy Charleston.
If the fourth/last game is not completed in the 60 seconds, all players at the table will receive zero points for the fourth/last game.
Please wash/shuffle your tiles and re-build walls at the end of rounds 1 and 2 to prepare for the next set of players.
After round 3, please organize the tiles on the template provided to ensure all tiles are accounted for.
