For 15 years, Mack has stood as the pinnacle of excellence in educating gifted and twice‑exceptional children. This environment is truly one of a kind, offering a level of support and challenge that cannot be found anywhere else.

Our Spring Gala celebrates what inspires us, for ourselves, for our kids and for the school community.    

You Can Make an Impact

Mack kids thrive in an atmosphere that nurtures keen minds, compassionate hearts and global thinking. Tuition covers a significant portion of Mack's needs, but you might be surprised by the level of fundraising necessary to maintain the depth and breadth of Mack's programs. 

Our children need your financial support to sustain this level of excellence and reach the $150,000 goal for this event. 

Every dollar above that allows the school to expand opportunities and invest even more deeply in our students’ success. 

Our Mission

This event supports two key funding priorities: 

1. Auction Purchases contribute to Mack’s annual operating budget, sustaining the school’s long‑term strength and directly sustaining the full range of programs that shape every student’s experience. 

2. During the live program, guests will also have the chance to raise their paddles to support the people at the heart of our mission – our teachers, staff, and students – amplifying the resources that allow them to thrive.

The Party

Come celebrate with us at The Simon, a beautifully refurbished event space in downtown Louisville. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks to start the evening, then head to your table for a delicious family-style dinner. The menu has been thoughtfully planned with a variety of options, and dietary needs have been taken into consideration. It’s the perfect chance to mingle, make memories, and connect with school leaders, teachers, staff, and other parents. Afterparty downstairs at Nora's Speakeasy.

Q: How does the Gala raise money for Mack?

1. The Gala generates funds through auction item sales, donations, sponsorships, and a portion of ticket sales.

Q. What do these funds support?

1. This event supports two key funding priorities: 

1. Operating Budget: Your donations via purchases of auction items play an essential role in supporting Mack’s annual operating budget. The Mack Gala is one of the ways our community comes together to support the experiences that make a Mack education so special. Funds raised through the auction and Gala help support Mack’s annual operating budget, which sustains the people, programs, and environment that our students benefit from every day. While tuition covers much of the cost of a Mack education, community fundraising helps ensure that we can continue providing the full Mack experience.  Each year, the Mack Fund in the fall and the Mack Gala in the spring work together toward a shared community goal of $400,000. 

   These contributions support many of the things families value most about Mack, including tuition assistance, outstanding teachers, learning specialists and support staff for our gifted and 2E students, thoughtful care of our campus, and ongoing professional development for faculty.

   Most importantly, your support helps ensure that Mack continues to be a vibrant, joyful place for students to learn, grow, and thrive.

   Every gift helps strengthen the community we’re building together.

2. Special Appeal: Each year the paddle raise portion of the Gala funds a specific program, item or project.  This year the proceeds from the paddle raise will benefit the people at the heart of our mission - our teachers, staff, and students. 

Q.  How can I donate if I can't attend on May 2nd?

1. You can participate in the silent auction right here on this site, even if you aren’t able to join us in person. If a live auction item catches your eye, reach out to Margot Angstrom, and she’ll be happy to bid on your behalf. The auction officially opens in late April 2026. In addition, you’re welcome to make a direct monetary donation to support our fund.

Q.  Can my friends and family donate to the Gala?

1. ​Yes. They’re welcome to contribute by using this link: https://cbo.io/d/mackmuse.  Every gift helps strengthen Mack’s fundraising efforts.

Q.  Can I reserve a table?

1. Yes! While the event is open seating, you can reserve a table for 8 and invite 7 friends! Start the evening with hors d'oeuvres and bubbly at Happy Hour. Then when the program is about to begin, saunter downstairs to your reserved table. 

Q.  I'm not a big company, how can I make an impact?

1. Support Mack and celebrate your connection to our community by becoming a Supporting Sponsor. Your name, your student’s name, or a tribute to someone you love or a teacher will be featured in the sponsorship sections of both the event program and our online platform.   

Q. What should I wear?

1. The online auction will open in April and you will receive full instructions on how to participate at that time. You will be able to browse, search, and bid on a wide variety of items using your phone. In addition, a number of the most sought-after items will be auctioned live at the Gala.
