A Note from Central Washington University's Director of Athletics
Dear Wildcat alumni, friends and family, donors, and fans,
This year's Kitna Wildcat Classic will be held on Thursday, July 10th.
The Kitna provides an opportunity for you to enjoy a spectacular day on the golf course while supporting CWU Athletics. Players fill the Prospector course at the stunning Suncadia Resort and play in a scramble format. CWU student-athletes are on the course to help raise funds for each of their sports, and food and beverages are provided before and after each round, in addition to awards for both the morning and afternoon flights.
This annual event has become a wonderful tradition where Wildcat alumni, friends, and fans can come together for a fun day at the beautiful Suncadia Resort (Prospector and Rope Rider courses) and raise funds to support CWU Athletics. All proceeds from the tournament support CWU student-athlete scholarships and the student-athlete experience. Registration fees include golf, tee prizes, bag lunch, beverages, and food following play. Shotgun starts are scheduled for 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Prizes and announcements for winning teams and long drives/closest to the pin will be announced separately after each round.
Date - July 10th
Location - Suncadia Resort, Prospector Course
Time - Morning session at 8:00 a.m., or an afternoon session at 2:00 p.m.
Cost - $300 single-player, $1,000 per foursome team, $1,000 hole sponsor (no team), $1,700 hole sponsor (with foursome).

Dear Wildcat alumni, friends, family, and fans,
Greetings from Wildcat Athletics. This year’s event will be on Thursday, July 10 at Suncadia Golf Resort. We will have two shotgun starts, one at 8:00 a.m. on the Prospector Course and one at 12:30 p.m. on the Rope Rider Course. Priority registration is open from April 22 to May 2. Registration will be open to the general public on Saturday, May 3.

If you are the captain of a foursome team, you will be asked to provide your team’s preferred tee time, competitive division, member names, and shirt sizes - compliments of our wonderful friends at Tommy Bahama. Input as much information as possible when you first register and send any missing information to Serenity.Steward@cwu.edu. If you have not been contacted by the Kitna subcommittee for sponsorship opportunities, you can still become a sponsor by clicking here.

How the Tournament Works
OVERVIEW: The event is held at Suncadia Resort on the Prospector and Rope Rider Golf Courses on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Registration is located at The Inn (Prospector Golf Course).
AT REGISTRATION: You will have the opportunity to purchase mulligans for $10 each - limit of four per golfer. Please pick up your grab-and-go breakfast or lunch, and you may enjoy some complimentary Iron Horse beer and Coca-Cola products in coolers provided by Iron Horse. The driving range and putting green at Prospector are available before both rounds.
MORNING (8:00 AM - PROSPECTOR) TIMELINE:
- 6:30 AM - Check-in & registration at The Inn/Prospector Golf Shop. The driving range and practice putting green will be open, and coffee and lite breakfast grab-and-go items will be available.
- 7:45 AM - All morning shotgun golfers report to the Prospector course. Coffee and lite breakfast grab-and-go items will still be available.
- 8:00 AM - Call to carts, welcome, and announcements. Morning shotgun begins.
- 12:00 PM - Anticipated finish time. Box lunches will be provided before the awards presentation.
AFTERNOON (12:30 PM - ROPE RIDER) TIMELINE:
- 12:00 PM - Check-in/Registration opens at The Inn/Prospector Golf Shop. The driving range and practice putting green will be open.
- 2:00 PM - Call to carts, welcome, and announcements. Afternoon shotgun begins.
- 6:00 PM - Anticipated finish time. Pizza from Village Pizza in Roslyn will be provided before the awards presentation.
FORMAT:
The format is a four-person scramble. Golfers can participate in one of three divisions: Open, Senior (foursomes must have three or more players 55 years or older), or Alumni (foursomes must have three or more CWU alumni). Teams will compete against the same teams in their appropriate division.
If your foursome is a threesome, select player A to hit a second shot for the entire hole and rotate golfers at each hole, keeping the same order. Two-putt max per hole.
COMPETITION:
There are two individual competitions across all divisions: Closest to Pin and Longest Drive (men & women).
