Pre-sale adult Color Splash Party entrance tickets cost $5/adult and includes entrance to the Color Splash Party, three splash packs, one pair of sunglasses. Adults can purchase a t-shirt for an additional $5. 

Children ages 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult during the Color Splash Party.

What is Color Splash?

Our annual Color Splash party is wild, messy, colorful fun! At the Color Splash Party participants splash colorful chalk all over one another by throwing “Splash Packs”. “Splash Packs” are small porous muslin bags filled with colorful chalk powder. Color Splash party participants throw the “Splash Packs” at one another to cover each other in beautiful hues of color! 

The “Splash Packs” can be thrown 10-15 times. The colorful chalk is non-toxic and environmentally safe. It is similar to dust or dirt when inhaled. Colorful chalk washes off with soap and water. Sunglasses should be worn during the event to protect eyes.

The Color Splash Party is an important fundraiser for Explore Children’s Museum that helps support our mission of creating opportunities for children to learn through play. Funds raised through this event directly support museum programming and community events, including Kids Fest and other hands-on learning experiences for local families.

All child tickets come with a t-shirt. Adults have the option of purchasing a ticket with or without the shirt in order to participate with their kiddos. Children ages 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult during the Color Splash Party.

Explore Children’s Museum opened on January 1, 2022 with a mission to provide meaningful opportunities, inspire participation in purposeful play, and promote lifelong learning. To accomplish our mission we create opportunities for individuals to take an active role in learning environments that inspire creativity, exploration, engagement, shared learning, collaboration, communication, critical thinking skills and fun.

Federal, state and local governments invest so little in early childhood education, so the nonprofit sector tries to fill the gap. Explore Children’s Museum was created to do just that. Intended for children under 9 years old, our space offers 15 permanent and rotating interactive exhibits that cover a wide range of interests and skill sets. Each exhibit helps children develop executive function, problem solving, collaboration, creativity, self confidence, independence, and self-regulation. These are critical for lifelong success and must be intentionally developed.

We were developed and remain fully committed to the principle that early childhood education is critical for academic readiness and success, physical and mental health, and the development of children into adults who are prepared to meet the challenges they will face. 

All children should have access to opportunities to thrive. Our children are our collective future and we serve them, and our communities, best when we invest in them early in childhood.
