At this year’s 18th Annual Help Hope Support Tzedakah Brunch, we proudly honor Fran Fine Ventura, Heidi Sarno Straus, and Sharon Walker—three extraordinary women whose leadership, generosity, and commitment reflect JFSA’s mission in action. Through mentorship, education, advocacy, and philanthropy, each has answered the call to serve, ensuring that dignity, care, and compassion remain at the heart of Jewish life in Nevada.

Fran Fine Ventura has devoted a lifetime to leadership and advocacy, championing JFSA as a vital source of support for individuals and families during their most vulnerable moments. Her empathy, perseverance, and belief in showing up have strengthened countless lives.

Heidi Sarno Straus transforms remembrance into responsibility. Through Holocaust education and human rights advocacy, she inspires moral courage, deepens empathy, and safeguards history so future generations may learn, remember, and lead with compassion.

Sharon Walker carries forward a legacy of service rooted in Las Vegas’s earliest Jewish institutions. Through her leadership and the founding of Jewish Women Leaders and Mentors Las Vegas, she directs tzedakah to the JFSA Food Pantry—ensuring families receive nourishment with dignity and care.

Though their paths are unique, these women are united by a shared purpose: a belief in tzedakah, a commitment to service, and a dedication to ensuring that no one in our community stands alone.

We’re thrilled to welcome Mikalah Gordon as our host—a multi-talented entertainer who knows how to make a room sing and laugh! By day, Mikalah brings energy and laughter to the 98.5 KLUC morning show with Chet Buchanan, and by night, she lights up the stage with her band at the Nowhere Lounge inside the Fontainebleau. We’re confident she’ll do the same for our brunch, lifting spirits while reminding us all that giving can be joyful, uplifting, and maybe even a little musical.
