AugustHeart celebrates 15 years! Join us on Wednesday, October 14th as we celebrate the life and legacy of August Koontz and AugustHeart's accomplishments in 2026. Kick back and enjoy a performance by Josh Abbott Band in the beautiful setting of the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Funds raised at this event support AugustHeart and allow FREE heart screenings to be offered to teens in the San Antonio community.

About the Foundation

Since 2011, AugustHeart has been offering FREE heart screenings to teens to identify selected heart abnormalities in an effort to reduce the risk of sudden cardiac death. AugustHeart has already screened over 10,000 students in 2026 and over 105,000 students since inception. Our goal is simple: to provide a simple heart screening to every teen in our community completely free of charge. Together we are saving lives- one heart at a time.
