Research shows that access to outdoor space enhances emotional regulation, reduces stress, and supports recovery. By creating a secure outdoor patio, we will expand the therapeutic tools available to our patients—adding sunlight, fresh air, and movement to the healing process. This project builds on the strong foundation of care already in place, offering new ways to nurture wellbeing and dignity.

Funds raised will construct the patio and, if generosity exceeds that goal, create a dedicated calm‑down corner—a trauma‑informed space designed for safe self‑regulation outside the patient room. Together, these enhancements will strengthen Hutchinson Health’s commitment to holistic healing and set a new standard for inpatient mental health care.
