About the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan
About Us
The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan serves as a common solicitor, storehouse and distributor of food to member non-profit and charitable organizations in 22 counties. Once food arrives at the Food Bank, it is sorted, inspected and made available to partner agencies such as churches, soup kitchens, and food pantries to distribute to those in need. All Food Bank partner agencies are required to distribute food, without charges or fees, to needy clients.
Grassroots
The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan began in 1981 as a small, grassroots community organization serving agencies in Genesee County. Due to the ever increasing need for our services, the Food Bank has grown to serve nearly 600 hunger relief partners throughout 22 eastern Michigan counties. The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is one of seven food banks in the state that make up the Food Bank Council of Michigan and a member of Feeding America.

The two players closest to the cup or in, will play in a putt off for the final prize.

Orange Ball Contest
- Each team will receive one orange ball. Each player will take a turn playing the orange ball. (Player 1 will play the orange ball on the first hole, player 2 on hole 2, etc. Player 1 will then play the orange ball on hole 5, player 2 will play the ball on hole 6, etc.) Continue playing using this rotation through the entire 18 holes. If the orange ball goes out-of bounds, is lost, or not played during the tournament, the team is not eligible for the final prize. The team with the highest score at the end of 18 holes that still has their orange ball will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, winner will be decided with a coin toss.
Hole in One Contest
- All golfers are eligible for the Hole in One contest. Only the first hole in one will be declared the winner.
Skins
- Each team has the option to pay to enter the skins competition. Winners will be announced after all scorecards have been turned into the scorekeeper. If no team wins, the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan will accept the winnings as a donation.
