With Grateful Thanks to Our Luncheon Committee
This event would not be possible without the incredible dedication, creativity, and generosity of our Luncheon Committee. These passionate women give their time, talents, and hearts to ensure that children with cancer and their families feel supported, celebrated, and never alone. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to making hope bloom.
POST’s Vision
The vision of POST is that no family walks their child’s cancer journey alone. We have an ultimate vision of a world without childhood cancer. Until then our vision is that every family who has a child battling cancer will have a team of caring professionals walk with them through their cancer journey, giving the emotional and financial support they need.
- POST exists because children get cancer too. And families who have a child with cancer need hope and help.
- Pediatric oncologists and nurses provide the medical care that children need. POST mental health therapist provide the emotional help and our case managers ensure families have the financial resources needed.
- We give FREE, family-centered emotional and finacial support to children with cancer and their families living in six counties in Southeast Florida (Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee and Hendry counties) regardless of where they are treated.
Honored Hero
Camila’s journey began on a day no family is ever prepared for—the moment her parents learned their young daughter had leukemia. In an instant, life changed. Hospital rooms replaced playrooms, and long days of treatment became the family’s new normal. Yet even in the uncertainty, Camila showed a strength far beyond her years. She named her treatment port “Brave,” dressed up in her shiny pink cape, danced with her sisters, and declared herself “Camila, the Super Brave One.” Though cancer was frightening, Camila chose courage—and reminded everyone around her that hope could still shine.
Her family stood beside her every step of the way. Nights were spent on hospital couches, mornings began with tired smiles and coffee, and small acts of love filled the room—hand-drawn hearts taped to walls, music and laughter from her sisters, and quiet moments of faith when words weren’t enough. Camila’s parents learned that strength doesn’t mean never crying; it means continuing to believe, even when the way forward isn’t clear. Along the way, they discovered miracles not just in medicine, but in community—in the kindness of doctors and nurses, the support of friends and strangers, and the generosity of those who showed up when it mattered most.
Today, Camila is still fighting—and still dreaming. She dreams of a world where hospitals are filled with laughter, where children like her always have a chance to heal, and where no family walks this journey alone. Her story is not just about illness; it is about love, faith, unity, and the power of a community that turns compassion into hope. Every act of support becomes part of Camila’s story—and helps write a brighter future for children and families facing pediatric cancer.
