The Golden Civic Foundation announces Wild West Oktoberfest! With major support from Presenting Sponsor, Coors Brewing Co., this event will take place at the Clear Creek Lot, at 304 10th Street in Golden. The Foundation plans to bring back Golden’s beloved Bavarian tradition but with a new Western twist. The Wild West Oktoberfest event will celebrate German and Western cultures, food and beer and highlight Golden’s unique history. Festivities will include traditional, live German and western bands throughout the day, a yodeling, stein-holding, costume and other fun contests and activities, mechanical bull riding, lariat looping, delicious BBQ and German food, beer and other non-alcoholic beverages.
