Meet the “Instrument Litter” — seven tiny orphans, just six weeks old, who arrived at Gigi’s without a mother and in desperate need of help. Five of the puppies tested positive for parvovirus, and the remaining two had been exposed. Their futures were uncertain, and time was critical.

But thanks to the extraordinary efforts of Gigi’s medical team—and a lifesaving blood donation from our hero dog, Everett—hope was not lost. With critical care and the unwavering dedication of our staff, these fragile little pups found the strength to keep fighting.

And we’re thrilled to share a huge milestone: every single puppy has cleared their first major hurdle and will soon be graduating from our Parvovirus Treatment Center to begin the next chapter of their lives.

Their survival is more than just a victory—it’s a testament to the power of compassion, teamwork, and science-driven care. At Gigi’s, this is what changing the story for shelter dogs looks like.

Thanks to generous donations, we're able to save these tiny lives—and so many more—every single day.
