Gala Virtual Booklet!
Today is the day!
We do feel we are ready! We're incredibley grateful for ALL the support we've received from our families, sponsors and community partners. The excitement from our Residents many of whom will be attending with their families has been heartwarming to see and feel. Their "Why" continues to drive our "Why".
Guests you can download the evenings Virtual Booklet https://canva.link/i3zgktsnhkb77ah . This Booklet will give you a feel for the evening's flow, highlight the heart of the night, and help you come ready for one of the most meaningful parts of the program: the Paddle Raise.
We know today will be an evening that reflects what is possible when adults with intellectual disabilities are supported to live independently!
If you're not able to join us this year and you would like to give you can go to graciousgrounds.org ~ Thank You ~
We look forward to seeing and welcoming you into the room tomorrow ~
The Gracious Grounds Team
Breaking barriers
Independence.Community.Home.
Gracious Grounds empowers adults with intellectual disabilities to live independently not in a facility, but in real homes, with real community.
Here’s what sets us apart:
Resident-Driven
Residents take ownership of their growth. We encourage but never control.Real Community
Our homes are integrated into the Grand Haven area, not set apart. Residents volunteer, work, and contribute.Family Partnership
Families and Resident Support Teams are valued partners in every step of the journey.Purposeful Growth
With 72 new apartments opening at Ability Way in 2026, we’re expanding—but staying true to our mission.
Because when dignity, belonging, and support come together residents thrive.
The Cornerstones
Resident Assistants
At Gracious Grounds, we believe adults with intellectual disabilities deserve not just housing but a true sense of home.
RAs live on site, offering daily encouragement, building trust, and helping residents navigate the ups and downs of independent living.
They're the "Friendly Neighbors". RAs are not caregivers they’re community shapers. They foster a culture of dignity, encouragement, and safety by simply being present, available, and engaged. RAs don’t just support independence. They help to make it possible.
Plus RAs put together creative, fun, themed gatherings for Residents- this photo (of RAs & Staff) was taken at the annual Halloween Party- our "theme" bats!
Building Futures
A New Chapter in a Growing Story
Since 2013, Gracious Grounds has helped dozens of adults with intellectual disabilities live independently in homes where they are respected, encouraged, and empowered to grow.
Now, we’re preparing for our most transformative step yet:
Ability Way a 72-unit affordable housing campus opening in Grand Haven in Spring of 2027.
Why It Matters;
Ability Way will allow us to serve more than double the number of residents without losing what makes Gracious Grounds special.
It’s not just a building.
It’s the next step in a shared story of courage, community, and independence.
