About the Event 
This event is a scholarship fundraiser. The funds raised are used to provide college scholarships to graduates of the Future Kings program. This event is our largest annual fundraiser. Funds raised also support us in our work of creating an engaging environment that is designed to result in a workforce pipeline of 1,000 young men each year who are from economically challenged households and living in underserved communities. Our work is a multi-year program that prepares male adolescents of color for lucrative careers in STEM professions. This Gala supports us as we build a results-based organization that is designed to prepare 150 young men each year from our target demographic to receive scholarships to HBCU’s so that they can pursue STEM education. This evening is a fundraising event that is designed to support the work being performed by the Future Kings organization in support of these young men. The evening is designed to be a night to remember, headlined by an important and inspiring keynote address.
About Future Kings
Future Kings is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization offering a unique, year-long afterschool educational program. Our program guides young men of color in grades 6-12 from underserved communities to explore exciting STEM career opportunities. We are teaching college-level topics in cybersecurity, computer game design, biomedical sciences, and drone engineering. We also provide 21st Century workplace soft skills training such as giving presentations, creativity, collaboration, punctuality, and more. These services are provided at no cost to the program participants.
We believe that careers start in middle school. For that reason, the Future Kings organization also includes an “Applied Learning” program. Our “Applied Learning” program provides our participants with the opportunity to participate in real-world projects led by practicing professionals. The professionals lead the project and the participants serve as interns. This program provides real world, documentable work experience for our participants.
Funds raised through the Gala fund Future Kings Scholarships and hands-on training to help our young men become culturally responsible STEM professionals.

Keynote Speaker
The evening is headlined by an important keynote address from our keynote speaker. This year's Gala features a keynote address by Dr. Henry C. McKoy, Jr. who serves as Senior Advisor to the Undersecretary for Science and Innovation at the U.S. Department of Energy. The theme of his address will be "Training Our Sons for Great Futures"
