At each Wild Game Dinner, we select a special charity to be the focus of our “Paddles Up” portion of the evening, when the auctioneer invites the audience to raise their paddles in support of a meaningful cause.
This year, we are honored to feature Sunrise Christian Schoolhouse as our Paddles Up recipient
"James and Sarah Kuykendall are native Texans and have called Dripping Springs, TX home for over 20 years. They believe in a classical education and the importance of integrating Truth into academics. They hope SCS will provide a loving and nurturing environment where students are educated with a Christian world view and like-minded families are able to connect and support each other."
Your support during Paddles Up will directly help Sunrise Christian Schoolhouse continue this mission and make a lasting difference in the lives of its students and families.
Our Story
How it all started
It all began in 1991 when a group of men from Dripping Springs Methodist Church, the Men in Mission, decided to cook a good meal, share some laughs, and give back to their community. Out of that mix of friendship, service, and great food, the first Wild Game Dinner was born.
What started as a small church gathering has grown into one of Dripping Springs’ most beloved traditions: a night where friends, families, and neighbors come together to celebrate generosity and community spirit.
Our mission is to bring people together through food, fellowship, and faith in action—raising support for local needs and strengthening the Dripping Springs community one shared meal at a time.
Over the years, this event has raised nearly $1 million for local charities, thanks to the incredible support of sponsors, volunteers, and guests.
More than 30 years later, the heart of the Wild Game Dinner remains the same: good food, good people, and a shared commitment to making Dripping Springs an even better place to call home.

Each year, we review requests from local charities, missions, and ministries of all sizes. Our goal is simple: to identify real, immediate needs in our community and put the funds raised to work where they can make the biggest impact.
If your organization serves Dripping Springs and surrounding areas, we’d love to hear from you. Our request window is now open, and you can use the form below to submit your funding application for this year’s event.
Submitting this form does not ensure your organization will receive funds. After the event, our team will evaluate each application and determine how funds can best be distributed to meet community needs.
