Mize grew up in rural Sumner and Sedgwick counties in Kansas and after 13 years in Nashville moved back to Andale, Kansas where he currently resides with his wife Jill and children Lincoln and Violet. Mize’s studio and merchandise shop sits between the post office and liquor store in downtown Andale, just a few minutes from his home. 

When he’s not writing, recording or touring, Mize helps out on the family farm and loves coaching his kids’ sports teams. Several music videos and countless social media posts have been captured in and around Andale, giving followers an unfiltered view into the authentic life of a small-town kid turned singer-songwriter.

Newman Regional Health continues to demonstrate its commitment to exceptional care and innovation through the proceeds of its Denim and Diamonds annual fundraiser. 

This year, funds will support the upgrade of the WS and EC Jones Cardiovascular Laboratory (Cath Lab), a facility accredited by the American College of Cardiology that provides an ever-expanding range of procedures. 

In the past year, the lab introduced shockwave intravascular lithotripsy to clear plaque from coronary vessels, showcasing its dedication to cutting-edge techniques.

The hospital aims to purchase new state-of-the-art imaging equipment, enhancing the resolution of heart vessel images, and to upgrade the intravascular ultrasound system for superior detection of abnormalities in heart and extremity arteries. 

These advancements reaffirm Newman Regional Health’s mission to deliver high-quality, innovative care close to home.
