FAQs

What is Dine with Dawson: A Benefit in Support of Independent Education?

Dine with Dawson is this year’s annual auction! We are thrilled to be hosting this year's Dine with Dawson at Boulder Creek by Wedgewood Weddings on Saturday, May 2, 2026. This festive evening will showcase amazing silent and live auction items, provide a chance to connect with Dawson parents, alumni, and friends, and feature a paddle raise.

What will my donation support?

This event raises money for two important funds. First, all auction purchases support Dawson’s annual operating budget, which helps us to maintain the health and longevity of our school. These contributions directly support every program we offer. Second, during our live program, you will have the opportunity to raise your paddle. Our paddle raiser this year will support mini and mega grants.

What are Mini and Mega Grants?

This year’s paddle raiser will fund Dawson’s Mini and Mega Grants—special opportunities for our faculty and staff to turn great ideas into reality. Through the DPA, faculty and staff can apply for grants to support classroom projects, spirit activities, and unique experiences that enhance student learning and strengthen our community.

How can I donate if I can’t attend on May 2?

Thank you for your support! You can make a gift through our registration page. If you would like to make a pledge, payable anytime through June 30, 2026, please email the Director of Development and Community Partnerships, Carly Slagel.

Is the event open seating?

This event offers open and reserved seating, allowing you to choose the experience you prefer. Sit with old friends or make some new ones! It is easy and fun to get to know people when you're bonding over the great music or comparing notes on the fun bidding.

What should I wear?

We encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel beautiful! Go all-out glam, if you're in the mood, or bring a more casual vibe, but just be sure to be there. It will be a blast.

I'd love to help! Can I get involved?

Of course! All community members are welcome to join the Auction Committee or just help out when they can. Email our Development Events Specialist, Tasia Foss at tfoss@dawsonschool.org, for more information!

How can I donate an item or become a sponsor for this event?

It’s easy! We are currently accepting auction items via our Auction Donation Form. Please see the Donation button above. Sponsorship levels are available on our registration page. Have additional questions? Please email Tasia Foss. Thank you!
