ABOUT THE EVENT

Join us on April 1st for a time of connection, hope, and purpose as we invite you to the 22nd Annual Circle of Friends, presented by Charlie and Bernie Wallace! This year, we invite you to explore the powerful steps each of us can take, both individually and as a community, to support mental health and create brighter futures. We welcome you to join in the community of this fundraiser as we empower each other and give towards our goal of $50,000.

We gather not only to raise essential funds, but to stand together in compassion as we uplift the youth, families, and individuals we serve. Your presence strengthens our circle of support and helps illuminate the pathways that lead towards healing and hope.

Together, let's take the next step forward. Toward hope, connection, and a stronger community.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Nathan Harmon is one of the nation's most impactful voices on mental health, substance use, and the power of choosing a new direction. His story is deeply connected to the heart of our theme, Find Your Way Forward, because Nathan knows firsthand what it means to feel lost and what it takes to step courageously toward hope.

Originally from right here in Marion, Nathan's life was transformed after a tragic impaired driving accident in 2009 that claimed the life of a passenger and led to a 15-year prison sentence. While incarcerated, Nathan experiences a profound turning point: he chose accountability, healing, and a new path forward. With the support of mentors and programs, he rebuilt his life from the inside out and was released 11 1/2 years early in 2012.

Today, Nathan is 16 years drug and alcohol free and is the founder of Your Life Speaks, a movement dedicated to inspiring people to understand their worth, make powerful choices, and recognize that change is possible no matter how difficult your past. He has delivered over 2,000 keynote presentations across the country, speaking with honesty, energy, and compassion about mental health, suicide, self-harm, substance use, and the power of community support.

A word of care: Nathan will be telling his personal life story which includes topics of substance use and self-harm. These topics may trigger distress in individuals; please inform your guests accordingly.
