Sehring Medal of Excellence for Healthcare - in 1999 the first Silver Cross Medal of Excellence in Healthcare was awarded to recognize the accomplishments of an outstanding individual for his or her service to their profession. The medal's name honors the memory of George H. Sehring, M.D., a dedicated physician who personified the values for which the medal is awarded throughout his more than 40 years of service to our community.
Sangmeister Medal of Excellence for Community Service - in 1998 the first Silver Cross Medal of Excellence for Community Services was awarded to recognize the accomplishments of an outstanding individual for his or her service to the community. The medal's name honors George E. Sangmeister, a devoted servant to Silver Cross Hospital, our local communities, and our state and federal government.
