The Evan Joseph Gerstein Foundation was formed to honor Evan Gerstein, who died at seventeen from a fungal infection in his heart, a complication of treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Evan loved all things scientific, so the Foundation aims to advance research in areas that affected Evan, including:

Better leukemia treatments, especially for those with difficult to treat mutations in their leukemic cells;
New treatments and diagnostic tools for fungal infections, which afflict not only cancer patients, but others with compromised immune systems;
Care for teens and young adults with cancer, whose diseases are desperately underfunded.

The Evan Joseph Gerstein Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that relies entirely on private contributions to fund its work. Your gift is 100% tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
