1. Can anyone place a bid?
Yes! The auction is open to everyone. Whether you’re a local or rooting us on from afar, you can join the fun and place your bids.
2. How do I place a bid?
It’s very simple – simply sign up using your email address or phone number on our auction website. Then click “Place Bid” on the bulldog you’d like to take home.

3. When does the auction take place?
The auction opens Saturday, September 20, at 8 PM and runs for a whole week, closing on Saturday, September 27, at 8 PM during Rocktoberfest.
4. How will I find out if I win?
Winners are notified immediately upon the auction's closure.
You can pay securely online by card, or join us at Rocktoberfest to pay by check and pick up your bulldog right there.
Not in town? No worries – we’ll reach out to arrange payment and delivery.
5. Can I see the bulldogs before the auction ends?
Absolutely! 👀 From Monday, September 22, to Friday, September 26, all bulldogs will be displayed again on Main Street, Irvington.
The very last chance to see them all together will be at Rocktoberfest, Saturday, Sept. 27, from 2–8 PM.
6. Why are the bulldogs being auctioned?
Each bulldog is a one-of-a-kind piece of art 🎨🐶 designed by a local artist.
Auction proceeds support artists directly while also funding future art & culture initiatives in Irvington and the Rivertowns.
7. Why do prices start at $500?
Each blank bulldog statue costs over $700 before artists even begin their incredible, unique designs.
Starting bids at $500 ensure we honor the value of the artwork while keeping it exciting for bidders.
8. Where does the money go?
Proceeds go directly to the artists and to the Irvington Arts & Culture Committee to fund more public art projects, festivals, and cultural programming.
Past funds helped repair and protect the bulldogs, provide pedestals, and make the Bulldog Gallery a vibrant community experience.
9. Is my bid tax-deductible?
Yes! Your winning bid (and any donation) is fully tax-deductible.
10. What if I just want to support the project without bidding?
That’s wonderful! 🌟 You can make a general donation HERE to support our mission and help us bring even more art to Irvington.
11. Who is responsible for organizing the Bulldog Gallery?
The project is proudly organized by the Irvington Arts & Culture Committee, appointed by the Village of Irvington.
