Why the Move?

Why the Move to the Farm?

This year, we’re trading city lights for starlit skies—and not just for a change of scenery.

We’re bringing BrittyBash 2025 to the beautiful Raymond Polo Field at Maplecroft Farm in Ipswich, MA, a place filled with memories, meaning and connection. It’s where Britten spent so many joyful days growing up alongside her close friend Macy and countless other friends and family. It’s where Britten and her husband, Wat, came together, and now, it’s a place her children, Watty and Lila, hold close to their hearts.

On top of its special meaning to us, the farm is simply an amazing place to celebrate—no time constraints, no fuss, just hundreds of acres, great energy, and room to truly unwind.

It’s a place that is truly inclusive for all—kids, adults, even donkeys and pigs! This event is open-hearted and open to all—a chance to celebrate, connect, and support an important cause in a place that allows you to truly relax.

How BB Stated

How BrittyBash Started

Following the tragic death of Britten Tyler, her husband, Wat Tyler, and a group of close friends started the Britten Hartnett Tyler Foundation (BHTF) to support children and teens that have lost a parent or sibling.  This founding team believed the best way to honor Britten, and to keep her legacy of service and support alive, was to ensure that resources become more readily available for children, and their families, facing similar life shattering events.

Why BB Matters

Why BrittyBash Matters

1 in 11, a full 6.4 million and nearly 9%, of children in the U.S. will lose a parent or sibling before turning 18. These children face far greater risks of depression, anxiety, lower academic success, and other life-altering challenges.  Over 85% of grieving children report needing support, and only a tiny fraction actually receive it.

At the Britten Hartnett Tyler Foundation, we believe that no child should navigate grief alone. We’re here to help them access resources, build resilience, and find connection. In just three years, with your support, BrittyBash has raised over $1.2 million to support children and teens navigating loss.

Last year alone, you helped raise over $340,000. That support directly impacts leading organizations including Boston Children’s Hospital, McLean Hospital, The Children’s Room, Camp Erin, Camp Kesem, and MGH’s PACT program—each one making a difference for grieving families.
