About Oasis Center

Oasis Center is one of Middle Tennessee’s most comprehensive youth development agencies, engaging 3,500 young people and their families every year, across a broad spectrum of almost 20 programs and services.

Crisis to Housing and Clinical Services are designed to support marginalized, vulnerable youth, ages 13-24, in gaining long-term safety, stability, and self-sufficiency. From the moment a young person walks through our doors, a team of caring adults is with them every step of the way from providing a meal, a temporary stay in our youth shelter, and/or free individual and family counseling. Our team also works with them to secure permanent housing and connect them with additional resources to help them stay off the streets and live a safe, healthy, happy life.

In 2025, our Rapid Rehousing team helped 111 individuals in 53 households, including 60 young adults and 49 children under 18, secure or maintain permanent housing. This includes support as young people find a new place, sign a lease, and move in.

Youth Action, Advocacy, and Education Programs are comprised of more than 10 school-based and after-school programs dedicated to empowering youth to be catalysts for social change and to succeed in achieving what may feel impossible: becoming the first person in their family to graduate from college, exploring a world of possibilities outside of the juvenile legal system, feeling loved and accepted no matter who they are or who they love, and having their perspectives valued and their voices heard.
