A Day To Give Online Auction

Join us for A Day to Give, our annual community fundraising event in partnership with GO FM 97.1 and Summit Radio.

On Friday, May 29, we will be live at Cherry Lane Shopping Centre, raising critical funds to support women, youth, and children as they transition from lives impacted by abuse and violence to ones rooted in safety, healing, and hope.

Your generosity can make a meaningful difference. All donations directly support SOWINS programs and services, helping individuals and families on their journey to safety and stability.

As we mark 45 years of safety, shelter, and support, A Day to Give represents hope for the future. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the first $15,000 raised will be matched, doubling your impact and helping change lives.

About SOWINS

For 45 years, SOWINS has provided shelter, safety, and support to women, youth, and children affected by abuse and violence. We help individuals recognize, understand, and overcome the impacts of abuse while giving them the tools and guidance to build a safer future.

Founded in 1981 by a group of passionate and concerned women, SOWINS emerged in response to the urgent need for services for women facing abuse and violence in the South Okanagan. Over the years, we have grown into a vital organization, continually expanding our programs to meet the changing needs of our community.

Our key programs include the PEACE Program, Child, Youth, and Family Program, Intake, Outreach and Advocacy, Second Stage Housing, Community-Based Victim Services, Stopping the Violence Counselling, and Sexual Assault Services Program.

SOWINS is dedicated to providing a comprehensive wrap-around service model, working closely with other local organizations to ensure that those in need receive the highest quality care and support.
