"Bark in the Dark" benefitting Acadiana Animal Aid
An evening of high-stakes FUNdraising!

Bet on black. Bet on red. Always bet on life!
Join Acadiana Animal Aid for one of our community's largest and most impactful fundraising events: Bark in the Dark. On Thursday, October 30, 2025, over 300 guests will gather at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lafayette for an evening of casino-style gaming at the House of Spays...and Neuters. The night will feature delicious food, lively music, and opportunities to bid on exclusive silent and live auction items—all benefiting Acadiana Animal Aid, the region's leader in animal rescue.
Our lifesaving work is made possible by the support of our community. In 2024, we rescued, medically treated, and found loving homes for 1,781 cats and dogs. We also performed nearly 1,500 spay/neuter surgeries and are on track to conduct the same number this year, plus an additional 1,500 surgeries for animals in municipal shelters across Acadiana.
Join us as a guest or event sponsor and make a direct impact on the number of shelter pets saved this year in Lafayette Parish and beyond. For more information, please contact us.please contact krista@acadianaanimalaid.org

Join Acadiana Animal Aid on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lafayette for an evening of high-stakes fun and philanthropy focused on saving the lives of cats and dogs across Acadiana and Louisiana.
The Bark in the Dark "House of Spays...and Neuters" gala features casino-style gaming, dinner, on-the-house wine & beer w/cash bar well drinks, door prizes, lively music, a silent auction, and an exhilarating live auction. The true excitement comes from knowing your support can change the lives of Louisiana shelter pets who need us the most.
Acadiana Animal Aid is the leading organization in our region for animal adoption, fostering, volunteerism, and education. We rescue pets at risk of euthanasia from municipal shelters across the state, providing them with veterinary care and daily support, while creating pathways for their futures. Our dedication to saving pets in our region runs deep. Over the past 10 years, we have successfully saved more than 25,000 cats and dogs. With the community's support, we are on track to save nearly 2,000 additional cats and dogs through local and out-of-state adoptions and transfers. Additionally, we aim to spay or neuter another 1,500 animals from Acadiana municipal shelters.
