Our Derby Event
Your 2025 Kentucky Derby Event, presented by Discover NEPA powered by Mericle, includes a seated gourmet dinner at the Westmoreland Club on Saturday, May 3rd 2025.
We'll start the evening at 5pm, celebrating with Derby themed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, surrounded by wonderful floral displays of roses inside the Westmoreland Club. At this time, there will be Derby action where you can feel like you are a part of the 151st Run For The Roses!
At 7pm we will proceed to dinner and entertainment under the tent at The Westmoreland Club. Expect festive music, Derby themed entrees and desserts followed by betting games with pre-recorded races!
In addition to the dinner and silent auction, you can also participate in our signature fundraiser for our Early Learning Programs by purchasing a chance to win a dream vacation or $5,000 CASH, generously sponsored by Sundance Vacations.

There is no cost to register. Payment will be taken only if you are the winning bidder. All proceeds will go towards funding our Early Learning Programs at the YMCA!
Our silent auction opens for bidding on
Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 at 12pm and will close Sunday May 4th at 12pm.
Items will be available for pickup at the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA - 40 W. Northampton St. Wilkes-Barre, starting Monday, May 5th, 2025.
Upon request, gift certificates can be mailed to you. All sales are final and in "as is" condition.
Larger items will need to be picked up by the winning bidder.
Items are available to be shipped at the winners expense.
