About the Event

The Pinnacle Awards began in 1987 as an initiative of the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women to honor exceptional women whose leadership and service helped shape the City of Tulsa. These honorees stood out as changemakers, leading with excellence in their professions while giving back to their communities.

In 2015, the tradition grew even stronger when the Mayor’s Commission, now the Tulsa Women’s Commission, joined forces with YWCA Tulsa’s Women of the Year celebration. Together, they created a powerful platform to recognize women who embody the mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, advancing social justice, and strengthening families.

Over the past 39 years, more than 345 remarkable women have been honored, each one a testament to courage, leadership, and impact. Their stories inspire, their voices uplift, and their achievements continue to shape a more just and inclusive Tulsa community.
