Keynote speaker

Ashirafu Tuyishime

A graduate of Agahozo Shalom Youth Village in Rwanda, Ashirafu is a Nursing and Biology student at Abilene Christian University focused on public health and supporting vulnerable children. Ashirafu will share his story, including the support he received after losing both his parents due to AIDS as a nine-year old.

Shannon Ogden

Shannon Ogden co-anchors Denver7’s weeknight newscasts at 5, 6 and 10 o’clock.

Shannon has received a national Edward R. Murrow award for hard news reporting, a national Emmy Award (Crystal Pillar), a regional Edward R. Murrow award, a national Gracie award and numerous regional Emmys. In 2016, the year he joined Denver7, Shannon was named Best News Anchor by the Colorado Broadcasters Association.

His 20-plus years in television news has taken him to newsrooms in Arkansas, Missouri, Salt Lake City, Boston and Jacksonville, Florida. Shannon has covered some of the most significant stories of a generation, including 9/11, the Catholic Church crisis and the Rhode Island nightclub fire. He's also anchored from such historic events as NASA's final shuttle launch and Democratic and Republican National Conventions.

Special Music

Mack Bailey

Mack Bailey, MM, MT-BC, is an award-winning singer- songwriter and a board-certified music therapist. After a career as a professional touring musician with the Limeliters, A Musical Tribute to John Denver and The Hard Travelers, Mack earned his master’s degree in music therapy with a focus on neurologic music therapy from Colorado State University. Mack completed his internship at Children’s Colorado Hospital in Aurora working in the psychiatric unit. 

Mack’s combined passion for communication and expression, along with his desire to learn more of how the brain works with music, drives Mack’s dedication to researching new techniques in addressing Music and the PTSD Brain with military veterans and at-risk populations. He achieves this through his nonprofit organization, Music Therapy Retreats.
